What is an empty leg private jet flight? +
An empty leg occurs when a private jet must reposition without passengers. Operators release these legs at up to 25% below standard charter rates. The aircraft, crew, catering and FBO service are entirely unchanged from a full-price charter flight.
How much do empty leg flights cost? +
Prices range from roughly USD 6,700 for short regional hops to well over USD 100,000 for ultra-long-haul routes. All prices are per aircraft, indicative estimates in USD, excluding applicable taxes.
Are empty leg flights safe? +
Yes. Every aircraft in our inventory must meet the same certification standards applied to every charter flight we arrange. The only difference from a full-price charter is the route and date are fixed.
Can I change the date or route on an empty leg? +
No. The departure airport, destination and date are fixed by the operator’s repositioning schedule. If you need full flexibility, a standard private charter is the better option.
