About HKBAC

The only private aviation terminal
in Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre (HKBAC) is the sole facility for private and business jet operations in Hong Kong — there is no alternative terminal, no secondary FBO, and no general aviation satellite. All private aircraft operating into Hong Kong International Airport (VHHH) arrive and depart through HKBAC, which occupies a dedicated position on the north side of the airport with its own apron, passenger terminal, and ground handling infrastructure.

HKBAC is a world-class facility by any standard — a private terminal with full FBO services, dedicated Hong Kong Immigration and Customs processing, and direct airside connectivity for passengers connecting to or from commercial services at the adjacent Terminals 1 and 2. The Airport Express rail link to Hong Kong Station in Central departs from within the airport complex, putting the CBD within 24 minutes of your aircraft door.

Slot coordination is the defining operational challenge at HKBAC. Hong Kong International Airport operates at near capacity, and private jet slots — particularly during major events — require advance coordination. Art Basel Hong Kong (March), the Hong Kong Sevens (April), Clockenflap, and the Hong Kong races at Happy Valley and Sha Tin all generate significant demand spikes that compress slot availability across both runways. We manage HKBAC slot applications as a standard part of every Hong Kong booking.

Why HKBAC

What defines HKBAC as
East Asia’s premium private terminal.

01
Hong Kong’s only private terminal
There is no alternative FBO or general aviation facility in Hong Kong. Every private jet — light, midsize, or ultra-long-range — uses HKBAC. This concentration means the facility is purpose-optimised for high-end business aviation, with infrastructure and staffing calibrated to the demands of the world’s busiest private aviation market in Asia.
02
Expedited immigration & customs
HKBAC operates with dedicated Hong Kong Immigration and Customs officers processing exclusively private aviation arrivals and departures. Processing times are significantly shorter than the main commercial terminals. Pre-arrival passenger data submission accelerates clearance further — we manage all required documentation as standard.
03
Airport Express rail access
Hong Kong’s Airport Express departs from within the airport complex and reaches Hong Kong Station in Central in 24 minutes, Kowloon Station in 20 minutes, and Tsing Yi in 11 minutes. For clients preferring road, the Lantau Link expressway connects the airport to Kowloon in approximately 35–45 minutes depending on traffic.
04
Dual long-runway capability
Both of Hong Kong’s parallel runways measure 3,800 metres — providing full capability for all aircraft categories including the largest ultra-long-range jets operating at maximum fuel and passenger loads on intercontinental non-stop sectors. Gulfstream G700, Global 7500, and Falcon 8X all operate without restriction from HKIA.
05
Commercial airside connectivity
HKBAC provides direct airside access to Terminals 1 and 2, enabling passengers to connect seamlessly between private jet and commercial services without re-clearing immigration. This makes Hong Kong a practical hub for mixed itineraries — private jet inbound, commercial outbound to secondary China cities or onward long-haul.
06
East Asia’s financial gateway
Hong Kong’s position as East Asia’s pre-eminent financial, legal, and commercial centre drives consistent private aviation demand from Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, and international corporate clients. Private jet movements track closely with the financial calendar — earnings seasons, deal closings, and board cycles all create predictable high-demand windows.
FBO & Ground Handling

What we coordinate at HKBAC
on every movement.

Our HKBAC handling process begins as soon as your booking is confirmed. Slot application is filed immediately — this is the single most time-sensitive element of a Hong Kong movement, particularly during event periods. Once the slot is secured, we brief the ground handler, submit pre-arrival passenger data to Hong Kong Immigration, and confirm catering, fuel, and ground transport timelines.

For China continuation sectors departing Hong Kong — Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou — we file the required CAAC overflight and landing permits in parallel with the HKBAC arrangements. China permits carry a minimum 48-hour lead time and are managed entirely by our team. Macau (MFM) sectors can be arranged with shorter lead and are coordinated through the same process.

Slot application — filed immediately
HKIA slot applications submitted as the first action on booking confirmation. Event period slots require the earliest possible filing — we do not delay. Slot confirmation is tracked and escalated where needed.
Pre-arrival passenger data submission
Hong Kong Immigration requires advance passenger information for all arriving private aircraft. We submit all APIS data on your behalf, coordinating directly with the ground handler to ensure clean, undelayed immigration clearance on arrival.
Customs & immigration at HKBAC
Dedicated HK Immigration and Customs processing within the HKBAC terminal. Passengers clear formalities independently of the commercial terminals — significantly faster processing and a fully private environment.
Catering to specification
In-flight catering arranged through HKBAC-approved providers — access to Cantonese, international, and dietary-specific menus. Orders placed against confirmed block time with full pre-flight preparation.
China continuation permit management
CAAC overflight and landing permits for Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and other mainland China destinations filed in parallel with HKBAC arrangements. Minimum 48-hour lead — we initiate permit filing at the earliest opportunity on every China sector.
Ground transport & hotel coordination
Chauffeur transfers from HKBAC to Central, Kowloon, Wan Chai, or Sha Tin arranged and timed to your block time. Airport Express is the fastest city option — 24 minutes to Hong Kong Station. We coordinate both road and rail connections on request.

Events & Peak Periods

When Hong Kong’s private aviation
calendar reaches peak demand.

HKBAC operates at the intersection of one of the world’s most active financial and cultural calendars. Slot availability, aircraft pricing, and FBO capacity all fluctuate significantly around these key events. We track the Hong Kong calendar continuously and advise on booking lead times as each period approaches.

March
Art Basel Hong Kong
Asia’s premier international art fair — one of the two highest-demand events in Hong Kong private aviation. Inbound aircraft from Europe, the US, and across Asia arrive over a compressed 3-day window.

The HSBC Hong Kong Rugby Sevens at Hong Kong Stadium is one of Asia’s major sporting and social events, driving sustained private jet demand across the full event weekend.
High impact — book 4–6 weeks ahead
May & October
HKJC Racing Season
The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s major race days at Sha Tin and Happy Valley — particularly the Champions Day and International Races — draw significant private aviation from mainland China and regionally.

October
Golden Week (PRC)
Chinese National Day Golden Week (1–7 October) generates a concentrated surge of private jet movements from mainland China into Hong Kong, compressing both slot availability and accommodation.
High impact — book 4–5 weeks ahead
November
Hong Kong International Races
The LONGINES Hong Kong International Races at Sha Tin — the city’s flagship race meeting — is a major draw for international HNW travellers and private jet clients from Japan, Singapore, and Europe.

Financial Calendar
Hong Kong’s position as East Asia’s financial centre means quarterly earnings seasons, IPO windows, and major deal signings create rolling demand spikes that do not follow a fixed calendar. We monitor and advise on availability proactively.

HKBAC Infrastructure

Facilities and services
at the Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre.

HKBAC is operated as a joint venture under the oversight of Airport Authority Hong Kong. As the sole private aviation terminal at HKIA, it provides consolidated FBO services, apron handling, and passenger processing for all business jet operations in Hong Kong.

Private Terminal
HKBAC Passenger Lounge
HKBAC’s private terminal provides a premium lounge environment with dedicated Hong Kong Immigration and Customs counters, meeting rooms, business facilities, catering service, and full passenger handling — entirely separated from the commercial Terminals 1 and 2.
Apron Services
Aircraft Ground Handling
Full apron handling at HKBAC covers aircraft marshalling, towing, refuelling, GPU and airstart provision, baggage loading, and aircraft cleaning. Handler coordination and slot management are managed proactively — particularly critical during peak event periods when apron capacity is constrained.
Slot Management
HKIA Slot Coordination
HKIA is a slot-controlled airport. Private jet movements require coordination-level slots that must be applied for through the appropriate IATA slot coordinator. During Art Basel, the Sevens, and Golden Week, slot windows are limited and require the earliest possible application. We manage this as the first action on every Hong Kong booking confirmation.
Fuel
Jet-A1 Uplift
Jet-A1 fuel is available at HKBAC through Airport Authority Hong Kong-approved suppliers. Fuel pricing in Hong Kong is among the higher in Asia — tankering from origin or to destination is evaluated for applicable routes as part of our all-in pricing process.
Catering
In-Flight & Lounge Catering
HKBAC-approved caterers provide access to both Cantonese and international cuisine with full dietary accommodation. Given Hong Kong’s culinary standards, in-flight catering from HKBAC is a genuine highlight — orders placed against confirmed block time, typically 6 hours minimum for full meal service.
China Permits
CAAC Permit Management
All mainland China sectors departing Hong Kong require CAAC overflight and landing permits — minimum 48-hour lead, often 72 hours for first-time operators. We hold established relationships with CAAC permit agents and file permits for Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and all major Chinese cities as standard for any Hong Kong–China routing.
Available Empty Legs

Hong Kong empty leg flights —
reduced-rate positioning sectors.

Hong Kong’s high private aviation volume — particularly on the Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, and Shanghai corridors — generates consistent empty leg opportunities at 40–65% below standard charter pricing. Availability shifts daily as bookings are confirmed and itineraries adjusted.

Hong Kong private aviation.

Ask a question
HKBAC — the Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre — is the sole private and business jet terminal at Hong Kong International Airport (VHHH). There is no alternative FBO or general aviation facility in Hong Kong. All private aircraft, regardless of size, arrive and depart through HKBAC. It is operated on the north apron of HKIA with dedicated passenger processing, independent from the commercial Terminals 1 and 2.
Outside of peak event periods, 1–2 weeks is generally sufficient for Hong Kong private jet bookings. During Art Basel Hong Kong (March), 6–8 weeks is strongly recommended — inbound aircraft from Europe and the US compete for a compressed slot window. For the Hong Kong Sevens (April) and Golden Week (October), 4–6 weeks ahead is the appropriate planning lead. For any China continuation sector, add the permit lead time — minimum 48 hours.
Yes. All private aircraft transiting to or from mainland China require CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) overflight and landing permits — minimum 48-hour lead time, often 72 hours for operators without established Chinese clearances. Flight plans must follow published CAAC airways. We hold active permit agent relationships for all major Chinese destinations and file these permits as a standard part of every Hong Kong–China sector. Early booking is strongly recommended for any China itinerary.
The Airport Express rail link is the fastest option — trains depart from within the airport complex every 10 minutes and reach Hong Kong Station in Central in 24 minutes, Kowloon Station in 20 minutes. By road, the Lantau Link expressway connects the airport to Kowloon and the tunnel to Hong Kong Island in approximately 35–50 minutes depending on traffic. We arrange dedicated chauffeur transfers timed to your block time on request.
Art Basel Hong Kong is one of the two most slot-constrained events in Asian private aviation. Private jet inbound movements from Europe, the US, Japan, Southeast Asia, and mainland China arrive over a very compressed 72-hour window. HKIA slot availability tightens significantly and HKBAC’s apron reaches near capacity. We submit slot applications as the first action upon booking confirmation for any Art Basel movement — 6–8 weeks lead is the minimum we recommend for reliable arrival and departure slots during this event.
Yes. Macau International Airport (MFM) is approximately 25 minutes by air from HKIA. Macau permits have shorter lead times than mainland China permits — typically 24 hours — and the sector is operationally straightforward. The ferry service from the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge ferry terminal is also a practical ground connection option for some clients. We coordinate both air and ground Macau transfers on request.
Non-stop Hong Kong to London (approximately 12.5 hours) is achievable on a Gulfstream G650, G700, or Bombardier Global 7500. Non-stop Hong Kong to New York (approximately 16 hours westbound) is possible on the Global 7500 at reduced payload. Both sectors require maximum fuel loads and careful weight planning. We assess aircraft suitability for intercontinental non-stop sectors on a per-booking basis and recommend the appropriate configuration.
